Looking to update your bathroom décor but don't have a fortune?
Try some of these simple and inexpensive design ideas for sprucing
up any bathroom décor without breaking the bank.
Paint - Paint is one of the easiest ways to change the look
of a room. Try faux finish techniques to add depth and detail to
your walls. Give your cabinets a fresh coat of paint or strip and
re-stain. A little arm muscle goes a long way on a short budget.
New Hardware - Try adding new hardware to spruce up your
cabinets and vanity space. Incorporate matching towel bars, toilet
paper holders and robe hooks even a new faucet.
Artwork - Hang new art on your walls. If you have a small
bathroom
space, try hanging an arrangement of smaller mirrors to create depthand
interest.
Lighting - Think about updating your light fixtures above
your vanityor incorporate accent lamps. Lamps
aren't just for end tables and nightstands. They come in all sizes,
shapes and styles and can be a good way to bring in extra texture
and light into your bathroom.
Fabrics
- Incorporate fabrics with detail and depth for drapes, valances
and shower curtain. Combined with a display of lush towels
,
fabrics can help pull the room together and keep it from looking
cold and sterile.
Accessories - changing out your accessories
or re-arranging them can change the look of a bathroom with little
or no cost. Add a few candles to give your bathroom space romantic lighting and a delicious aroma.
If you have a slightly larger budget and want to really make some
changes in your bathroom décor, try adding new tile around
your tub, counters or floor. This can be a do-it-yourself project
that is well worth the effort in sprucing up your bathroom while
saving a bundle.
