Pretty in Pink
By: H. Iacobacci-Miller
Pink doesn’t have to mean over-the-top femininity. It doesn’t
have to be lace and frills. Pink can be incorporated into your bedroom
without being overwhelming. Most of us think of pink and think of
cotton candy and all things little girl. A pink bedroom doesn’t
have to be just for a little girl though. Take a look at these beddings
sets from Linens n’ Things. Soft touches of pinks mixed with
other color palettes keeps the pink from being too much.
For
a soft country look, try this Batik Quilt. The textured gauze floral
print and handkerchief boarder quilt with freehand stripes will
add a touch of spring to any bedroom.
This works for a young girl’s room, a sophisticated teen
or even an adult retreat. Play down the pinks with solid throw pillows
in mossy green hues or pale yellows. This bedding set works well
with the shabby chic look as well.
This Batik Duvet is another option for adding pink to your bedroom.
This option is still soft and feminine with its delicate floral
and striped print, but offers more options for toning down the pink
and is also a less "floral" bedding option.
Another quilt option is this Home Roselle Quilt. The
Pastel ribbons and lace surround bead-embroidered roses of the softest
pink and green for a romantic palette.
A solid bed skirt and throw pillows will accent the green hues.
This romantic quilt works well in either a country or shabby chic
bedroom.
Inspired by English countryside, this duvet offers hand embroidery
and beaded roses. It is a far more elegant and adult duvet with
much more subtle pink tones. Pair this with an antique bed or deep
wood tones for a sophisticated style.
Accessories are always key to any bedroom decor. The following
are just a few ideas for accessorizing your Pink Bedroom.
